It's Kylie time again, America. Once a decade, it seems, Kylie Minogue, who has Madonna-size fame nearly everywhere else in the world, puts out an album that captures the American fancy. "Aphrodite" (EMI) should be it.

Packed with dance-floor anthems dreamed up with Madonna collaborator Stuart Price, "Aphrodite" surrounds Minogue's breathy vocals with catchy Euro-influenced dance pop that's both bass-heavy and synth-driven. Though the single "All the Lovers" lures people in, the title track is the knockout punch, where she revs up the attitude and gets all Yank-ish.
