LL Cool J, more Strong Island rap set for Citi Field’s Meadows Music and Arts Festival

Jay Z will headline the first night of The Meadows Music and Arts Festival, while Strong Island rap will dominate the second day, according to the schedule organizers announced Tuesday.
Though the cartoon rappers Gorillaz will headline Day 2 of the festival held in the Citi Field parking lot in Queens from Sept. 15-17, that day’s schedule will feature performances from Manhasset’s LL Cool J, Amityville’s De La Soul and Hicksville’s up-and-comers Swet Shop Boys. That day also includes sets from Future, Erykah Badu and M.I.A.
Aside from Jay Z, Day 1 will feature Run the Jewels, Migos and Tegan and Sara, while Red Hot Chili Peppers will headline the final day, which has a Queens hip-hop theme with Nas and Action Bronson.
Single-day tickets are $115 and go on sale at noon Thursday through themeadowsnyc.com. Citi cardholders can purchase pre-sale tickets starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
