With summer in the rearview mirror, it’s time to focus on the fall. This season’s crop of concerts offers a wide variety of choices. Here are 24 shows to catch on Long Island

Emo pop rock band Jimmy Eat World returns to Long Island with a stop at Mulcahy’s Pub & Concert Hall in Wantagh. The Arizona foursome is currently making a comeback with new single, “Something Loud.”

ZZ TOP (Oct. 5)

The Texas trio may have lost its late bassist Dusty Hill, but the band is forging forward with guitarist/singer Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard and new bassist Elwood Francis on the “Raw Whisky Tour” at The Paramount.

THE WHO (Oct. 7)

After a two-year hiatus, The Who is making its way to the concert stage with a new tour, “The Who Hits Back!,” which comes to UBS Arena at Belmont Park in Elmont. Original members lead singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townshend are backed by a six-piece band and a full orchestra conducted by Keith Levenson featuring lead violinist Katie Jacoby and lead cellist Audrey Snyder. The set list will focus on classics from albums like “Tommy,” “Quadrophenia,” “Who’s Next” and 2019’s, “Who” as well as other selections.

Heavy metal gods Judas Priest will celebrate their golden anniversary when they bring their “50 Heavy Metal Years Tour” to Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale. Long Island’s own Blue Öyster Cult comes to the NYCB Theatre at Westbury. The crowd will scream for “MORE COWBELL!” as the band performs their classic “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” as well other hits like “Godzilla” and “Burnin’ for You.” Mark Farner, former lead singer/lead guitarist from Grand Funk Railroad, shares the bill presented by LI’s rock station WBAB (102.3 FM).
