Mariah Carey is taking her Christmas cheer on the road this year.
Normally, the Greenlawn-raised Carey turns the Beacon Theatre into her home base for her “All I Want For Christmas Is You” extravaganza for the entire holiday season. But this year, Carey currently only has four shows set for the Beacon -- Nov. 27-28 and Dec. 4-5.
The rest of the season will be spent touring the East Coast and Midwest, before bringing the show to European arenas and finally her home away from home at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where she has had a residency dedicated to her No. 1 hits.
Tickets for the Beacon Theatre shows are $60.50-$256 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. Members of her fan club can purchase pre-sale tickets starting at noon Tuesday.
For those looking for more Mariah for the holidays, the animated movie “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” built around her classic song, will be released on Blu-ray and DVD as well as on-demand on Nov. 14. The film, which will include Carey as a narrator and feature three of her holiday songs, is a fictional tale about young Mariah’s “first love” – a puppy.
