National Concert Week is back — and so are the $20 tickets.

Live Nation’s annual celebration of summer concert-going includes reduced prices on tickets to more than 2,800 events across the country, including some shows at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater, NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum, NYCB Theatre at Westbury, and Long Island Community Hospital Amphitheater at Bald Hill.

For TLC’s T-Boz, concerts will always be special, whether they are her own or someone else’s, so she was happy to be part of National Concert Week (the group performs Aug. 1 at Jones Beach). She said her daughter told her to ask TLC fans why they see the group so often in concert because neither one of them understood it.

“They said that, for them, it had sentimental value,” said T-Boz, who will once again tour with Chilli in TLC all summer. “For some of them, it saved their lives from suicide. Some of them, if they were going through obesity when I wrote ‘Unpretty,’ it saved them from going through self-esteem issues. So they have an emotional connection with us and a lot of them grew up with us, through different trials and tribulations in their lives. … Music has that effect on people anyway. It gives you a memory.”

T-Boz said she is looking forward to TLC’s tour with Nelly and Flo Rida this summer, which includes the stop at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater on Aug. 1.

“We didn't realize how many fans we had in common,” T-Boz said of Nelly, who TLC toured with alongside New Kids on the Block. “And when you go out with someone and you forget how many hits they have and you sit there and go, ‘Oh my god, I forgot that Nelly did that song!’ We thought it would be ideal to do it again. We thought it would be fun to headline a tour together. ... So here we are and here we come.”

In addition to the summer tour, T-Boz is planning her “T-Boz Unplugged” fundraiser on June 6, where she will pay tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle. While she has been active in philanthropic causes for years, she learned that using a concert to raise funds worked best. “When you learn and you're educated and you feel good and you're dancing and partying,” T-Boz said, “while you're also saving a life at the same time, you can't get better than that.”
