On paper, Paul Simon and Sting look like this season's musical odd couple. After all, Simon's music from the '70s was part of the mainstream that Sting and the punk and new wave revolutions sought to overthrow.

But on their "On Stage Together" tour, which stops at Madison Square Garden Tuesday and Thursday, Simon and Sting plan to show how they can make beautiful music together in a format similar to Billy Joel and Elton John's "Face to Face" tours, playing their hits together and separately.
