Video: Britney Spears dances 'Till the World Ends'
Britney Spears debuted her “Till the World Ends” video this morning and the story line is pretty straightforward: She and her pals dance until the world ends. Really.
Directed by Ray Kay, the clip is a takeoff on the movie “2012” and features Brit at a subway dance party while asteroids rain down on the earth. Rather than worry about, you know, everything above ground, they are content to grind and sweat together. Their response to the apocalypse? Woah ooh woah oh oh oh oh ooh woah!
Like much of the Brit oevre these days, “Till the World Ends” works best if you don't think about it too much. It's a stunning video if you don't ask too many questions.
Don't ask why you don't see any clips of Spears dancing for longer than two seconds. Don't ask why many of the moves involve her tossing her hair while all the dancers whirl around her. And the plot line, please don't ask about the plotline.
The video is currently running on VEVO. It debuts on MTV at 5:30 p.m. on “The Seven” and will then run every hour on MTV, MTV Hits, MTV Tres and Logo during their video shows.
