Sofia Vergara's engagement caught on video

Actress Sofia Vergara’s son, Manolo Gonzalez, has confirmed that his mother is indeed engaged. With four videos on YouTube, Gonzalez, 19, documented Vergara’s 40th birthday celebration and included the moment Nick Loeb proposed to the “Modern Family” star at Chichen Itza, Mexico, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.

“As a little girl, she always wanted to go to the top of the pyramids,” Gonzalez said. “Unfortunately, people are not allowed to that anymore. But since it was her birthday, her team worked for months on end to get her special permission to go up.”

At the top of the pyramid, Vergara’s long-time boyfriend Loeb, 37, popped the question, Gonzalez recounted.

The engagement was followed by an afternoon fiesta at a restaurant where the family danced on stage and a smiling Vergara showed off her ring. Her "Modern Family" co-star Julie Bowen is seen in the clip.
