Tara Reid: Marriage in Greece never happened

"American Pie" actress Tara Reid, who in August claimed she had married Washington, D.C., financial-services worker Zack Kehayov in Greece after a two-hour engagement, now says the two were never actually married.

In a video posted Tuesday at TMZ.com, a videographer asked Reid at the Los Angeles International Airport, where she had just disembarked from a flight, whether she and Kehayov would do well on TV's "The Newlywed Game."

"No," she answered, "we would lose." Asked why, she replied, "Because we were never really married . . . it was never legal."

It was unclear when the clip was shot. On Monday afternoon, Reid, 35, had tweeted she was on a Los Angeles set shooting the "Wow oh Wow" music video for the Irish hip-hop duo Jedward, with whom she had appeared on the UK's "Celebrity Big Brother" this summer. Her housemates on that show appeared to believe she was married: When she became the third evictee on Sept. 2, fellow contestant Kerry Katona, a British TV personality, tried to comfort her on-air by saying, "You're going to see your husband."

Reid's representative did not respond to requests for comment. Reid, one of the "American Pie" film-series ensemble, is scheduled to appear in the series' fourth film, "American Reunion," for release April 6, 2012.
