The bright lights of Broadway as well as a political luminary will be on hand this weekend when BroadwayCon returns for the first time since January 2020.

The theater lovers' convention will take place Friday through Sunday at the Manhattan Center and The New Yorker hotel and will feature panel discussions, performances by Broadway stars and a chance to meet cast members of shows like "A Strange Loop."

Among the festival highlights will be the "Here's to the Ladies" panel featuring Hillary Clinton and Vanessa Williams Friday at 1 p.m.; appearances from the casts of "POTUS," "Dear Evan Hansen," "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" and "A Strange Loop"; performances by Shoshana Bean ("Mr. Saturday Night") and Wendell Pierce (the upcoming revival of "Death of a Salesman"); and sneak peeks at next season's shows including the musical "Kimberly Akimbo" and "& Juliet."

Events run from 10 a.m. to roughly 6 p.m. each day. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required. Single-day passes are $80 and general passes for all three days are $200 and can be purchased at broadwaycon.com. Gold passes ($425) and Platinum passes ($1,250) are also available.
