Forty is the magic number for lucky Muggles who may have the chance to see “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child — Parts One and Two” on Broadway.

The producers of the show announced Friday that March 9 will be the first date of the Friday Forty, a weekly drawing in which 40 tickets at a price of $40 ($20 for each part) will be released for every performance during the upcoming week of the two-part show.

The tickets will be selected at 1 p.m. each Friday, and according to producers are among the best in the theater. The winners will receive tickets for consecutive performances of parts 1 and 2 (which are often performed over two days in a row.)

The Friday Forty will only be available through TodayTix.com or the TodayTix app and entries will only be accepted each Friday from 12:01 a.m. to 1 p.m. Winners will be notified between 1 and 5 p.m. each Friday.

Previews for “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” which follows J.K. Rowling’s wizard as a grown-up with a young son, begin March 16 and the show opens April 22.
