Actress-comedian Aisha Tyler will depart “The Talk” when the daytime panel-discussion show’s current season ends.

“I have had an amazing six years with you guys,” Tyler, 46, told her co-hosts, Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood on the show Thursday. “We’ve had babies and weddings, and you know good things have happened, and you know I went through the biggest breakup of my life with you,” she said, referring to the end of her more than 20-year marriage to attorney Jeff Tietjens. “I could not have done with this without you. I’ll never be able to thank you guys enough.”

The show’s seventh season ends Aug. 4. CBS executive Angelica McDaniel called Tyler’s departure “a bittersweet moment” and praised “her signature wit, intelligence and openness . . . and we support her as she decides to focus more time on her passion for directing” and her cast role on “Criminal Minds,” among other endeavors.
