Amy Schumer returns to South Side High in Rockville Centre
Amy Schumer graduated from South Side High School in Rockville Centre in 1999 and never looked back -- possibly because if she did look back, she would be reminded that she was voted "class clown" or, more pointedly, "teacher's worst nightmare."
But she did return recently, as part of a "CBS Sunday Morning" profile that aired Sunday. What you are about to see here was not part of the profile, but rather a "Web exclusive."
What you will also see is Schumer wandering the halls with Mo Rocca and a camera person, as she revisits some old memories -- all good, she says -- and makes the kind of observations that any 34-year-old might make upon reviewing an even younger generation. ("These kids sure look young.")
She pops into a classroom or two, disrupts the learning flow, gets a couple of laughs, says nothing blue, offers no career advice and otherwise reminds everyone by her presence that a famous person once went here.
