Andi Dorfman of 'Bachelorette': Eric Hill's death 'was just crushing'

The death of "Bachelorette" competitor Eric Hill in April "had a huge effect on all of us," this season's star, Andi Dorfman, tells Us Weekly.

"We heard the news and it was just crushing," says Dorfman, whose edition debuts Monday. When producers told her and Hill's fellow bachelors about his paragliding accident, "You can imagine how much shock and devastation everyone felt," Dorfman, 26, recalls. "It's something we never expected, it's something we never predicted, and it's something that was really hard on us."

She adds, "I don't want to talk too much about what our initial reactions were. I'd rather spend the time just talking about who Eric was. This is a guy who really lived life to the fullest and inspired all of us."
