Chris Harrison, Lauren Zima are engaged

Chris Harrison, former host of the "Bachelor," "Bachelorette" and "Bachelor in Paradise" TV dating competitions, is engaged to "Entertainment Tonight" correspondent Lauren Zima. Harrison and Zima have been together since 2018.

"I love you @laurenzima The next chapter starts now!" Harrison, 50, wrote on Instagram with three photos of his proposal and the immediate aftermath in California's Napa Valley wine country.

Among those commenting congratulations was "The Bachelor" season 22 star Arie Luyendyk Jr., who wrote, "Yes … so happy for you two."

Zima, who turns 34 next month, wrote on her own Instagram account, "We tell each other this all the time, and we said it again in an unforgettably beautiful moment this weekend: I didn’t know love could be like this. You are the most incredible partner. Thank you for loving me, championing me and asking me to marry you. Here’s to the next amazing chapter, and all the rest."

Franchise alumni offering their good wishes included Raven Gates Gottschalk, Ben Higgins, Blake Horstmann and Ali Fedotowsky Manno. While ABC's "Bachelor" franchise shows traditionally use Neil Lane engagement rings, Harrison proposed with one from McClave Jewelers.
