Chris Medina brings his sad story and sweet vocals to 'American Idol'

Engaged Chris Medina is about to tell his really sad story on "American Idol." His bride-to-be Julie got in an accident, sustained a brain injury and was in a coma for over a month. Wow, now he, and her mom, takes care of her.

"What kind of guy would I be if I walked out when she needed me the most?"

He's singing "Break Even" and has a mellow, easy voice. Not great, but nice, kind of makes you smile listening, and he's very sincere. Gets better as he goes on, a kind of joy emanates from him. 

Judges tell him to go bring his fiancee and she comes in her wheelchair. They're really kind and sweet with her, Steven Tyler gives her some kisses, and they all go nuts when they vote him on to Hollywood.
