'Hawaii Five-0' has a wave of new songs
Something is washing ashore for fans of "Hawaii Five-0." No, it's not more chest time with McGarrett and Danno or Kono on a surfboard.
"Hawaii Five-0: Original Songs From the Television Series," out Tuesday, features brand-new and previously unreleased tracks from the likes of Bob Dylan, right ("Don't Ever Take Yourself Away" from the early '80s), Train ("Should We Believe"), The Swell Season ("Love That's Bigger") and Ziggy Marley ("Pass It On").
"Music plays a big role in our show, and we are thrilled that so many great artists have provided us with exclusive tracks that can be so well-integrated into our second-season episodes," the show's executive producer, Peter Lenkov, said in a statement. "As a result, fans will be able to experience a soundtrack album that is truly representative of 'Hawaii Five-0.' "
Also included is "Hawaii Five-0 Main Title Theme," the newly recorded opener for the series' 2010 launch (remember The Ventures' classic?). And what would seem like a natural, Jake Shimabukuro's "Ukulele Five-0," is also included. Aloha!
