For Jessica Sanchez' final "American Idol" performance of the top 3 show, Jimmy Iovine chose "I'll be There" for the 16-year-old powerhouse.

Sanchez was excited about the choice, saying she loves the 1970 song.

Iovine said the song was a good choice to show Sanchez as both youthful and mature enough to appeal to an older audience.

The Jackson 5 song worked well for the San Diego girl, and the crowd got into her performance. She used the tune to show off some of her high notes.

"Delicious," Steven Tyler said. "Gorgeous!"

Jennifer Lopez mentioned that Sanchez sounded like Michael Jackson at some points in the song, but still, it wasn't enough to please Randy.

"There was never a moment-moment," he said. "It was OK but it wasn't 'oh my God.'"
