Continuing her post-rehab comeback, Lindsay Lohan will appear on the upcoming season of comedian Danny McBride's HBO series "Eastbound & Down."

HBO Thursday confirmed to Newsday that the actress will guest-star on the fourth and final season of the sitcom about a drug-fueled former big-league pitcher, Kenny Powers, and his own comeback machinations.

TMZ.com, which first reported the news, said Lohan, 27, would play the adult version of baby Toby, Powers' daughter with on-and-off girlfriend April (Katy Mixon), on the series finale. She is currently filming the part in North Carolina, the site said.

Lohan, who recently guest-hosted E!'s "Chelsea Lately" and whose interview with Oprah Winfrey airs on OWN Sunday, posted an image of herself on Instagram holding a cellphone with a cartoon caricature of an unspecified man, captioning her photo, "Back at work! So grateful today! :)"

"Eastbound & Down" began shooting its finale eight-episode season on June 7, said HBO. The final season is scheduled to premiere Sept. 29.

Lohan, who completed her most recent court-ordered stay in rehab in July, will star in an eight-part series on OWN about her much-publicized struggles with substance abuse and the legal system, as well as her career and her plans. Documentary filmmaker Amy Rice (2009's "By the People: The Election of Barack Obama") is directing. The show is scheduled to air next year.

On Aug. 2, her most recent movie, the independently produced erotic thriller "The Canyons," opened theatrically.
