Lori Stokes has been named co-host of Fox/5’s “Good Day New York,” station vice president and general manager Lew Leone announced Tuesday.

Stokes will replace Greg Kelly, whose last day was Friday, and will anchor the 7-10 a.m. broadcast with Rosanna Scotto.

Most recently, Stokes served as co-anchor of “Eyewitness News This Morning” at WABC/7, where she has worked for the past 17 years. Her appointment had been widely expected.

“As a longtime fan, I couldn’t be more excited for Lori to join the FOX 5 family. Her experience, knowledge, professionalism, success and commitment to the local community make her an ideal partner for Rosanna Scotto and the ‘Good Day New York’ team,” Leone said in a statement.
