It was just last month that Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy announced their split, but the popular green muppet is already off the market.

The news comes just in time for the release of "The Muppets," debuting on ABC on Sept. 22. Kermit filled the void in his heart with a Miss Piggy look-a-like named Denise, who's a slender red-headed version of the frog's longtime love.

Although a photo of the new couple only recently surfaced, Kermit had mentioned his new amour during a press conference in August, shortly after he announced his 40-year relationship with Miss Piggy had come to an end.

"She is a pig. I do have an attraction to pigs," he said of Denise. Her occupation? ABC marketing executive.

Interestingly enough -- and in true Hollywood form -- it seems Kermit has backtracked from statements he made about Denise, posting earlier this week on Twitter, "While I prefer to keep my personal life private, this is Hollywood, so who am I kidding? It is true that I am dating again. However, at this time no one woman -- pig or otherwise -- is my official new girlfriend. We are simply close friends."

Regardless, we haven't seen the last of the decades-strong power couple: We can expect to see the twosome as they collaborate on Miss Piggy's talk show, "Up Late with Miss Piggy."
