Scotty McCreery is singing "That's All Right, Mama" next on "American Idol," in homage to his idol. He claims it won't be "country Scotty." Let's see.

Ha, it's pure country; voice, performance -- it's amazing how he does the same thing every week. But he's so good at it that you forgive him; even when he's singing nonsense words and is totally loungey.

I mean, this is almost laughably bad. It's all over the place, random -- but fun. A bunch of girls rush the stage and hug him at the end.

Randy Jackson informs us he's "in it to win it," and claims nobody thinks now he's just a country guy. Really?! Steven Tyler thought it was very Elvis-like. I disagree, there was always a real edge with Elvis. With Scotty, it was just corny.

Jennifer Lopez is convinced he watches some rap videos, thinks there's flavor in there.
