Stephen “tWitch" Boss, Matthew Morrison and JoJo Siwa will be the new judges when "So You Think You Can Dance" returns for season 17..
Fox on Monday additionally announced a May 18 premiere for the dance competition and that Cat Deeley will continue to host. Laurieann Gibson and longtime judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy originally had been named as judges when season 17 auditions were announced in February 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic caused production to shut down that June.
Boss, the DJ on the daytime talk show "Ellen," had been a finalist on "SYTYCD" season 4 in 2008, and has subsequently been a mentor, choreographer and guest judge. Morrison earned an Emmy nomination as a star of "Glee" and a Tony nomination for Broadway's "The Light in the Piazza." Siwa, a YouTube star and media personality, competed on "Dancing with the Stars" last year.
