Theresa Caputo meets with estranged husband in 'Long Island Medium' new-season preview 

"Long Island Medium" star Theresa Caputo and her estranged husband Larry recently sat down with each other for the first time since their separation announcement in December and her subsequent divorce filing in April.

In a TLC promotional video for the Oct. 8 season premiere, provided to People magazine, the Hicksville born-and-raised mentalist, 52, meets her ex in a restaurant in Los Angeles, where Larry Caputo now lives. "We separated about a year ago,” Theresa Caputo says in the clip while driving on her way to meet him. "So I haven't physically seen Larry in, like, nine months."

In the clip, Larry Caputo, 62, confesses to the camera, "It's not easy. After 30-plus years — how do you not have emotions?"

Earlier, we see Theresa Caputo in a hospital, where, as she had announced in July, she had knee surgery. "I tore my ACL," she says in the clip, referring to a ligament commonly injured in sports-related activity. "This is the first major surgery that I've ever had. It was weird waking up [from the operation] and Larry not being there. But this is our new life."

Neither has commented additionally on social media.

In December, the couple released a joint statement to People, saying, "After 28 years of marriage, we have decided to legally separate. We will always love each other and our two wonderful children. We are united in supporting each other and our family. Please respect our privacy during this time."

They have two children, Larry and Victoria, both in their 20s.

Larry Caputo told TMZ.com in June that he had moved to Los Angeles in September 2017 and that, "The separation was a three-month trial period. And we've moved on from that point. We're in divorce proceedings. . . . So that's been going on for like the last six months. It's not finalized, I don't know when it will be, but that's where we're at. I'm doing fine," he added. "I know she's doing well. I'm happy. We've moved on with our lives."

He said he had since met "someone special, but I'll just leave it at that for now."
