Tim Urban brings a decent 'Hallelujah' back on 'American Idol'
Tim Urban does an acoustic guitar version of "Hallelujah," one of the favorite song choices on "American Idol." It's such a great song. He's very earnest and the lighting is stark and he's all in black, too. Nice urgency to the song, It's well-done, but hard to really do a super-memorable version of this. The best, of course, was Jason Castro's take.
Randy says you walked in some pretty big shoes, not bad. Ellen says she feels like she's been so hard on him, but runs up to him and gives him a big hug, says, "that was fantastic!" Kara says she thought a few weeks ago he was going home, but "now, you're kind of in it," and calls his performance "an honest interpretation."
Simon says a smart pick, not the best version ever, but your strongest performance so far.
