"The Wendy Williams Show" officially ends Friday, after a season of guest-hosts subbed for the ailing Williams, who took leave to battle chronic medical conditions.

"The final original episode of 'The Wendy Williams Show' will air on Friday, June 17, with a video tribute to the iconic host," the show's production company, Debmar-Mercury, said Tuesday in a statement."The series comes to an end after 13 successful years in syndication."

In February, the company had announced that Sherri Shepherd, the most popular of this season's fill-in hosts, would headline her own syndicated daytime talk show this fall, with the new series "Sherri" taking over the former time slot of "The Wendy Williams Show," seen locally on WNYW/5 at 10 a.m.

Williams, 57, has openly discussed her struggles with Graves' disease, aka autoimmune hyperthyroidism, and lymphedema. She has not commented publicly on the show's cancellation, and has not posted on Instagram, her sole evident social media, since April 6.
