Rebecca Lo Robertson, foster daughter of “Duck Dynasty” reality-TV stars Willie and Korie Robertson, was married this weekend to John Reed Loflin.
“Surrounded by people we love. tonight was truly magical,” the new bride captioned an Instagram photo on Saturday of herself kissing Loflin, with the hashtag #reheasaldinner. Hours later, she posted a brief video clip of herself in her bridal gown, with the wedding bouquet in one hand and a drink in the other, dancing on a lawn with bridesmaids sisters Bella and Sadie and sister-in-law Mary Kate Robertson. “#bestdayofmylife,” she hashtagged it.
Finally, on Sunday, she posted a photo of her and Loflin’s feet in crystal-clear water, captioned, “Still can’t believe we got married yesterday, we were surrounded by family & close friends in the most beautiful place #sothankful.”
All three posts were geotagged “Hotel Esencia,” a 50-acre estate in the municipality of Solidaridad, Quintana Roo, Mexico, 58 miles from Cancún. The online wedding registry The Knot had listed the wedding as scheduled to take place in Monroe, Louisiana.
Foster mother Korie Robertson wrote, “Not a dry eye in the place” Sunday, captioning a photo of Willie Robertson walking Rebecca down the aisle. Afterward she ran a photo of Loflin posing with Rebecca’s mother. “I love this pic of John Reed with Rebecca’s Taiwanese mom ... and her friends. @johnreedloflin won over their hearts, too.” The Robertsons have three biological children, John, Sadie and Bella; an adopted son, Will; and Rebecca, initially an exchange student living with the family.
The couple became engaged over the holidays last year. This is the bride’s first marriage. The groom has been married once and divorced.
Thursday, Rebecca Lo Robertson had posted a photo of herself at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, writing, “We are off to GET MARRIED!! Even though our flight got delayed because of weather plus some crazy guy jumping off of the plane causing us to miss our connection, waiting in line to get rebooked for 3 hours, now we are spending a night in Atlanta & flying out tomorrow. I am still smiling big, because this is just another fun adventure with my soon to be hubby @johnreedloflin i can’t wait to do life with you!”
