The world's largest chocolate, as certified by Guiness World Records, was making the rounds in the Big Apple Monday to help educate residents on the importance of portion control.
World’s Finest Chocolate, a Chicago-based provider of chocolate fundraising products, is featuring the 21-foot long, 4-foot wide, and 3-foot thick bar in a tour of several states targeting schools with a campaign called Think Big, Eat Smart! The message is to eat right and stay fit, the company says.
The 12,190-pound chocolate slab isn't quite enough to end world hunger, but it equals 209,000 servings, enough for a serving for each fan at a full house at Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, MetLife Stadium and Madison Square Garden -- with 6,500 leftover portions.
“We purposely made this bar to be an example of portion distortion," said Eddie Opler, chief executive of Chica World’s Finest Chocolate.
