A survey about fast food on Shelter Island

Shelter Island is a unique place. Normally a lot of kids might go to McDonald’s for breakfast or Wendy’s for dinner, but on Shelter Island you can’t. There are no fast-food restaurants on Shelter Island. None. Some people are happy about it, and some aren’t. If you had the choice, would you rather have fast food or no fast food on Shelter Island? I interviewed 96 students from our school, and here are the results:
61 want fast food
35 do not want fast food
The people who did want fast food wanted Burger King, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Domino’s, Taco Bell, KFC, Panera and Popeye’s. The most popular choice was McDonald’s. The second most popular was Panera.
Are you surprised? Normally you would think that kids would not want fast food. It’s usually unhealthy. But, most do want it, because it makes it more convenient on your way to school in the morning for breakfast and on your way back home for dinner. So, I also think there should be fast food on Shelter Island. It would be easier to not have to go grocery shopping. That is so boring.
I hope the number of kids who want fast food goes up, so we will have a fast-food restaurant soon.
