If you’re a person who loves drawing and painting like I do, you should give The Painted Canvas in Wading River a try. The Painted Canvas is an art studio that runs weekly art camps for kids in the summer.
When I attended the camp, I went to two sessions, the underwater and sky theme weeks. During both camps, I made seven paintings. You will make three to four paintings, depending on what session you choose. There are also fun raffles where you can win prizes during the week. Each participant gets to bring home a T-shirt, a tote bag and, of course, all the wonderful paintings.
I learned a lot of new tips and tricks for painting. The teachers were encouraging and helpful. One of my favorite projects was the underwater turtle painting (the one in the picture). I still can’t believe how realistic my paintings look. I can’t wait to go back this summer.
