At Baldwin Blazers Track Club, we run with a fast crowd

The Baldwin Blazers Track Club does different things each day. It might sound tiring, but we have practice four nights a week. On Saturdays, we have special practices where we use ladders and run the bleachers.
There are two groups. The sprinter group runs 100 meters, 200 meters, and 400 meters. They work with coach James Lowe. The distance group runs 800 meters, 1,500 meters and 3,000 meters. Head coach Chandel Brown trains this group herself.
The Blazers run year-round and compete at meets for USA Track & Field, Amateur Athletic Union, Colgate Games and the Junior Olympics. In the fall, the distance group competes in cross-country meets, but the sprinters are training with them. Winter season is indoor, and both groups run. Spring and summer are outside for both running groups, and some teammates compete in field events such as the long jump and javelin.
The Baldwin Blazers encourage the ideas of hard work, sportsmanship and good character. You can join this track club (see baldwinblazers.com) or find one near you.
