On Wednesday, we went to Lincoln Square theater in Manhattan to see the premiere of "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2," which was hosted by The Moms (themoms.com), Denise Albert and Melissa Musen Gerstein. We then interviewed actor and comedian Bill Hader, the voice of Flint Lockwood.

This movie picks up where the first movie left off. At the end of the first movie, Flint thought that his machine was destroyed, but it wasn't. It landed in a lake and created a whole new world. An evil scientist, Chester V (voiced by Will Forte), forces the people of Swallow Falls to evacuate the town. He then asks Flint Lockwood to join his company. Not knowing he would be tricked, Flint accepts.

Flint is a naive, clumsy person who doesn't think things through. But Flint isn't alone on this adventure -- his pal Sam and the rest of the gang come along...and this was after Chester V told him not to bring anyone. Then Chester V gets an idea. He tells Flint that if he finds his machine, he would be a Live Corp. employee. As Flint falls for the trick, he drifts apart from his friends. As the adventure goes on, there are a bunch of foodimals, such as tacodiles, cheese spiders and watermelephants. All this excitement made this movie great fun. Our day was even better because we talked with Bill Hader about his role in the film.

We asked him how he would describe his character. Bill said, "I would describe Flint, he's a kind of a guy who really enjoys inventing things. He's really enthusiastic, and really positive, but he's also a little naive. He doesn't think things through completely, so he gets into a lot of problems. He's all passion and doesn't think of possible consequences of his passion. At heart he's a really, really great guy. He's just got to think things through. Maybe this machine he built that turns water into food isn't such a good idea, but he's just so excited about the invention."

We all saw the first "Cloudy" movie and loved it. We wanted to know what was Bill's favorite scene in the first film and then the sequel. He said, "My favorite scene in the first movie has to be the spaghetti twister. I thought that was pretty awesome. In the second movie, man, that's hard. . . . There's a scene where we're going into a river and there's all these food things falling into this big coconut, and instead of a coconut is a watermelon elephant creature. That's pretty cool."

With food falling all over the place in the film, we wanted to know what food would he want to fall out of the sky. Bill said, "I like Oreos. I'd like some Oreos to fall on my head. That would be the best day of my life."
