Teacher lights up his yard to help sick children
We were excited to meet with Mr. Anthony Fabris, who has been a teacher in the Middle Country Central School District for more than 20 years. He puts up an amazing Christmas display every year to raise money for kids. He collects money for children in the Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. The lights are on starting on Dec. 1 until New Year’s Day.
Mr. Fabris begins this amazing transformation during the last week in August. He buys many boxes of lights every year to add to his display, and every year he adds more and more and lights and decorations. Currently, he has more than 20,000 lights.
In the front of his brightly lighted home is a mailbox where you can put letters to Santa Claus. Santa writes back to all the kids! There is another mailbox where visitors can put their donations for the Stony Brook Children’s Hospital.
Mr. Fabris has proudly raised thousands of dollars over the years, and does not keep a single penny of any of the donations. We hope you and your family go check this fabulous fundraising Christmas Wonderland Spectacular!
