Collecting bottles in school shows us the need for recycling
We did a survey to see how many teachers and students recycle in grades three to six. We found out that 183 people recycle at home and only nine don’t.
We don’t have a recycling program at our school, and we were interested to find out how many bottles grades three to six would throw out. We were shocked by the numbers.
Surprisingly, we collected 255 bottles in one week. Imagine that in one month, that would mean 1,020 bottles would have been thrown out.
We are going to contact our school district to see if we can get a couple of orange recycling bins for our school. It is important for people to recycle and stop polluting the Earth.
