Field Day is for everyone
It's that time of year! So many schools have their annual field day. At William Sidney Mount Elementary School, grades kindergarten through six all get to participate in the school's annual Field Day.
Field Day is a day when students' families can come to the school and watch their kids participate in fun events. Field Day is run by Mount's physical education teachers, Mr. Jeffrey Bryant and Mrs. Erin Triolo.
The kids have a choice of which events they want to be a part of. They are allowed to be a part of three events, and they always participate in two class events. There are many events. One event that is usually the favorite is hurdles. There is also the beanbag toss, a 50-yard dash and a three-legged race.
Year after year, students have the choice of the same events to participate in. Students were asked if there were any activities they would like to see added to Field Day. The most popular events chosen were water balloon tosses, an obstacle course and a Hula-Hoop contest.
If these events were added to Field Day, it would probably be even more fun.
