LI golf courses for beginners: Sandy Pond, Indian Island

I like to go golfing, and some courses are a little harder than others. There is one that is great for beginners, Sandy Pond in Riverhead.
This is a beautiful three-par, nine-hole course. The top length of all the holes is 115 yards and the shortest is 83 yards. The holes are not very hard, but they are a lot of fun to play. After playing it three times, I have learned its complexity. If you ever have nothing to do, this is one of the best places to go. I recommend it for any young golfer, especially for a good time with your parents if they golf, too.
There is one more place that is great for more experienced golfers. It is Indian Island in Riverhead. It is an 18-hole course that can be very technical and hard. Although it is a public course, in the summer, there is a golf camp for ages 7 to 16. At the end of the week, you play the golf course in a competition. It is a lot of fun, and I recommend it for young players who are up to the challenge.
These are two great places to go and play a round of golf and enjoy the East End. Sandy Pond Golf Course is at 1495 Roanoke Ave., Riverhead, and Indian Island Country Club public course is at 661 Riverside Dr., Riverhead.
