Help the Boy Scouts of Suffolk County raise funds for their Scout Camp

More than 7,000 Long Island Boy Scouts enjoyed their Scout Camp in Baiting Hollow last year, and they're looking to the community to help raise funds.
The Boy Scouts of America (Suffolk County Council) recently launched "Wake Up Our Waterfront," an eight-week-long initiative through DepositAGift.com to raise $15,000 to fund water enrichment equipment at the Baiting Hollow Scout Camp.
The Baiting Hollow Scout Camp hosts a summer camp, parent-cub weekends, troop weekend camping and speciality camps featuring everything from swimming and canoeing to fishing and more. Unfortunately, their equipment is in need of some updating.
The raised funds will support special equipment including log rollers, eight canoes and six stand-up paddle boards.
"In order for us to continue serving future generations at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp, we need help," said Joanne Courtien, director of development for Boy Scouts of America, Suffolk County Council." "We're excited to organize this campaign online so that supporters near and far can help. Every dollar is needed, appreciated and counts."
