A creature of your child’s imagination could become an Ikea soft toy, if his or her drawing wins Ikea’s fifth annual Soft Toy Drawing Competition. Last year’s winners included a rainbow-striped shark and a pink flying unicorn.
Entrants compete in three age groups: 4 and younger, 5 to 8, and 9 to 12. Submit entries by Thursday at info.ikea-usa.com/softtoy. All entries will be displayed online, followed by online voting from Nov. 15 to 29.
The top vote getter in each age category from Long Island will receive a $25 Ikea gift card. The 10 drawings nationwide with the most overall votes as well as five chosen by Ikea will move on to a subsequent global competition. Ikea will choose from those the final six that will be made into real soft toys.
Pictured are the winners of the 2017 competition, which are on sale now. All proceeds from the sales of the winning toys go to Save the Children’s U.S. efforts.
