'Julius Jr.' premieres Sunday on Nick Jr.
It was only a matter of time for a cute sock monkey to make its television debut.
On Sunday at 11 a.m., Nick Jr. will premier a new animated preschool series "Julius Jr.," inspired by Paul Frank's famous monkey and his family of characters, including Worry Bear, Clancy, Sheree and Ping. Julius Jr. is a property of Saban Brands.
The show follows the adventures of Julius Jr. and his playful friends as they build a playhouse out of a simple cardboard box. When they walk inside, they discover that ordinary objects magically come to life. "Julius Jr." blends imagination and inventive spirit to teach kids that the best inventions are the ones that help your friends.
Each episode of "Julius Jr." also teaches preschoolers about individuality and a sense of self. Whether it's Clancy, a vertically challenged giraffe, or Worry Bear, the worrisome bear, the different traits of the characters help kids understand the bond and acceptance between peers.
