The Kids Heart Challenge is a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. The money we raise will go to kids who have special hearts.

RJO Intermediate School has been participating in this event since 2005, and we are looking forward to doing it again this year. During the month of February, we will learn about the heart and participate in various activities that promote heart health.

Every student will get a jump rope. On the first day, we have a jump-a-thon in which we have to jump rope for 30 minutes. The second day, there will be an obstacle course. You can earn prizes for raising money for this event. Anyone who donates will receive a keychain. The more you raise, the bigger the prize!

Our school will have a healthy-heart bulletin board that encourages students to choose a healthy lifestyle. Some key points are: always drink water, never smoke cigarettes and always include something green on your plate when you are eating. This bulletin board promotes good decision-making and strong hearts.

I hope you will contribute to this great cause!
