The new movie “Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension,” by the creators of the Disney Channel cartoon “Phineas and Ferb,” Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, is about a trip to the second dimension and saving the tristate area from being taken over by the evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

In the beginning of the movie, Phineas and Ferb crash with Perry, their platypus. The boys end up landing on Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s building and smashing into his new invention. They end up breaking it, and they offer to help Dr. Doofenshmirtz fix it. The invention is a machine that can open into another dimension. When they are done fixing the invention, Perry comes along and tries to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz from using it.

This movie was funny and heartwarming. I loved seeing Phineas’ angry side when he found out that Perry was a secret agent. That side of him didn’t really show in the TV series, but it did in the movie. I thought it was pretty funny seeing Phineas get all angry because you always see him so positive about everything. It was funny seeing Phineas get scared and shivering in the second dimension while in the first dimension, Phineas and Ferb were describing summer. I liked seeing Dr. Doofenshmirtz so happy when he found his new best friend — 2nd dimension Dr. Doofenshmirtz. I also liked the songs that were put into the movie.

The best part was when Isabella kissed Phineas at the end of the movie and Phineas said, “Isabella!” I’d been waiting for that moment since the beginning of the series. I didn’t like seeing Perry all sad when Phineas got mad at him for not telling him about his secret-agent life. I started crying when I saw that.

This movie had many funny parts, but I was just a little disappointed with the ending. Watch it and see if you agree.
