Are you looking to make a sand castle but then it rains? We have a fix for you: K’Nex. We tested K’Nex Education STEM Exploration Levers and Pulleys Building Set (No. 79319). It is a fun but challenging building set.

We gave up on the sand castle idea and tried out the lever and pulley set. The instruction packet included in the box was helpful. It had pictures breaking down the steps and a chart describing what K’Nex you need for each part. The packet showed tiny parts of the lever and pulley that we finally put together at the end. Although the packet was helpful, we would have liked it to provide us a bit more wording to describe how to create this building set.

Building this wasn’t very easy. We recommend you have peers to help you out. The great thing about it is that it requires teamwork. You really have to think things through before you put the pieces together. It was fun being challenged and having to put our minds to work. Once we finished, we tried out different experiments that are listed on the back of the book.
