LI Children’s Museum to host a Valentine’s Day party

The Long Island Children’s Museum is hosting its first Valentine’s Day event for families — the “Be Mine Ball” will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 11. The museum is asking everybody to wear red in honor of love.
There will be a DJ in the museum lobby for dancing to favorites like the Electric Slide and the Macarena. There’ll be craft tables so families can make items such as a Crazy in Love top hat and Puppy Love puppets. There will also be face painting and other activities throughout the museum.
Cost is $11 per person; purchase tickets online at licm.org or at the door. The museum is at 11 Davis Ave. in Garden City. For more information, call 516-224-5800.
