Moms weigh in on Easter candy, bunny visits and more
Recently, Hershey's surveyed about 400 moms about Easter candy and their buying habits during the season. Here's what they found:
All about the bunnies
In 2014, 91 percent of moms plan to purchase milk-chocolate bunnies, 76 percent will purchase hollow milk-chocolate bunnies and 68 percent will buy peanut-butter-filled bunnies. Ninety-four percent of moms prefer to go for the ears first.
Mom's faves
Nine out of 10 moms enjoy snacking on candy from their kids' Easter baskets. Their favorites: Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures, Cadbury Mini Eggs and Hershey's Milk Chocolate Eggs.
Easter Bunny visits
The Easter Bunny is a tradition in about 90 percent of families, and 66 percent of parents plan to take their kids to visit him. Fifty-five percent will visit the Easter Bunny at their local mall.
Kids weight in
Nearly half of moms (49 percent) say their kids leave carrots for the Easter Bunny and 28 percent report that the Easter Bunny leaves paw prints behind after each visit. Seventy-nine percent believe the Easter Bunny's fur is white.
