How old is too old to take a photo with Santa?
When your son tries to ignore you as you call him over to do so.
And so Harrison took the reins this holiday season, at the newly turned age of 9. I suppose it would look a little strange to have a boy who’s almost as tall as an adult sitting on a man’s lap.
So I let Harrison walk away, his dignity intact, and I followed, hearing my husband talk after me.
“He’ll always be your baby,” he said.
It was OK, I thought, as we headed to enjoy the Christmas lights.
