That Meetball Place in Patchogue, a good time

Recently, we went to a restaurant, That Meetball Place, located at 54 W. Main St., Patchogue. When we got there it wasn’t really too crowed yet because we went early in the day. Our first thoughts of the place were: “This place is so cool!” The restaurant was clean and inviting. You could choose to sit at either a large booth or high-top tables. There was a large sports bar with huge TV screens along the right side as you walked in. We sat at the back in a booth. We decided to try their meatballs and the jumbo Bavarian pretzels.

There are nine different types of meatballs to choose from: pork, buffalo chicken, classic beef, vegetable, Moroccan lamb, seafood, chicken, vegetarian risotto balls and lobster risotto balls. You can really make it your own way because then you can choose from eight different sauces to have on them. To keep from being confused by the taste of the meatball and the taste of the sauce, we chose to stay with their basic marinara sauce. We tried each meatball and rated it. The ones we loved the most were the classics: chicken, pork and buffalo chicken. The least liked were: lamb and lobster. Everyone felt that the marinara was very delicious. Then, we tried the jumbo Bavarian pretzel. We all loved the trio of sauces that came with the pretzel: chipotle barbecue, mustard and cheddar cheese.

We had some leftover marinara sauce, so we tried the pretzel with it too. Guess what marinara sauce tastes great on? A pretzel! We also found after looking at the menu that they offered four kinds of special fries and four kinds of premium milkshakes. Their menu of homemade soups and daily specials also looked yummy! Overall, we really loved this place. If you want to check it out, they are open on weekdays from 11 a.m.-midnight and pretty late on the weekends as well.
