In the novel, "The Forget-Me-Not Summer," by Leila Howland (HarperCollins), the Silver sisters have their perfect summers planned out. Marigold, the eldest sister, is hoping to continue her acting career by auditioning for a popular movie shooting near her California home. Zinnie is looking forward to all the free time she is going to have on her hands. Lily, the youngest, is planning on getting into loads of trouble.

This is all ruined when their parents explain to them that they will stay with their Aunt Sunny, who lives in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, for the majority of the summer. With no Wi-Fi, no friends, and their parents not there to comfort them, the Silver girls do not know how they will make it through the summer.

Sure enough, Massachusetts grows on them and they end up having the time of their lives. The main idea of the book is clever and the characters are very interesting. This book should be on every girl's reading list for this summer.
