Unity Day is something we do at our school, Sousa Elementary School in Port Washington.

Unity Day is the day when we all wear orange and we celebrate being kind and united. We take a picture of the whole school in a shape or word. This year we spelled out the word SOUSA! Our class was the bottom of the O.

It’s a tradition to have this day every year at our school. This year for Unity Day, we made kindness rocks. Everybody in the school decorated rocks and put a nice saying on them, or they did a positive picture on the rocks. All the rocks now are in the front of the school. When we get out of the bus, we can see all of the kindness rocks. It is so colorful and kind. Unity Day is such a special day for us.
