Looking for things to do with the kids this weekend? From The Wiggles to fall festivals, crafts and more, there is plenty happening on Long Island. Here are my top five picks for family-friendly activities during the weekend:

Amityville Apple Fest  in Amityville (corner of Park Avenue and Broadway). A family festival featuring apples, apple pie, doughnuts, live entertainment, crafts, children's entertainment, paint-a-pumpkin patch, face-painting, pony rides and more than 50 vendors on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Price: The festival is free, fee for apples and other food.

“The Wiggles: Ready, Steady, Wiggle! Tour” at NYCB Theatre at Westbury (960 Brush Hollow Rd., Westbury). The Wiggles will perform on Sunday at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Prices start at $22.50.

Illuminating Illusions at the Long Island Science Center (11 W. Main St., Riverhead). Discover the science behind magic tricks and make an optical illusion to take home on Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Price: $5.

Family Fall Festival at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park (1395 Planting Fields Rd., Oyster Bay). Halloween trick-or-treat and costume parade, live music with the Das Liederhosen German Polka Band, garden games, pumpkins for sale, pony rides, pumpkin-decorating, potato-sack races, watercolor demonstrations, a bounce house, haunted maze and food and beer tastings, rain or shine on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Price: $20 per car.

The Making of Makuks at the Long Island Children's Museum (11 Davis Ave., Garden City). Make a paper makuk inspired by American Indian culture, all ages are welcome on Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m. Price: Free with museum admission ($12).
