Angel Sanchez plays with geometry

Venezuelan designer Angel Sanchez added some unexpected accessories when he unveiled his spring 2013 collection at Lincoln Center Monday.

Sanchez had fun with the elegant draping and crisp lines of his artfully feminine frocks by adding bright, metallic, three-dimensional geometric shapes as jewelry.

There was one hot pink cube earring with a white ruffled dress, and a lightning bolt on a black and white cut-out gown.

Then there were the looks he left alone, like a black, white and cobalt dress pleated perfectly at the waist like origami, and a mustard-yellow gown with a layered hemline that cascaded to the floor . . . and the odd accessories were forgotten.
